Monthly news and updates

Greetings Powder Valley families,

It’s time to start preparing for the 2026-2027 school year at North Powder Charter School. We are happy to welcome a few new teachers who will be joining us; Ms. Clark is going to be our new MS/HS Math Teacher; Mrs. Kmetic is moving to Title and ELL, Ms. Hall is our new 4th grade teacher; Mr. Denne is our new music teacher, and Ms. Carr will be taking over 3rd grade while Ms. Logan is on maternity leave. Mr. Brett Baxter is our new superintendent. He comes to us most recently from the Wallowa County ESD, serving as Assistant Superintendent, with a variety of roles in that region. We are excited about our new staff, as we have hired top notch individuals, and hope you will take the time to meet them.

All students who were enrolled last year are pre-registered. Parents/guardians, please go to your ParentVUE account (https://parent-northpowder.cascadetech.org) to finish the registration process. If you do not have access to a computer, please call the school and arrange for a paper packet.

Parents of Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergartners: if you haven't done so, please get the school a copy of your child’s birth certificate, and proof of a dental screening. Your child will not be allowed to attend without this documentation.

K-5th grade parents/guardians - please do not send school supplies. They will be purchased throughout the school year with the elementary student body fees.
Please pay all fees before the first day of school at the school office.
