CORRECTION - We will be having a parent of athlete's meeting for all 6th through 12th grade families on WEDNESDAY, August 24th in the Spanish classroom. This meeting will start at 7:00 p.m. and we will go over the relevant information parents need to know. If you have an athlete for Fall sports, please attend. Go Badgers!

If your high school student did not make it to registration this week, Mrs. Bingham will be in on Monday, August 22nd from 8:00 a.m. until noon. Please drop in and get registered.

If you have a middle school student who is playing volleyball, there will be a parent meeting this Thursday, August 18th at 5:30 p.m. in Miss Christman's classroom, which is in the new building room 109. Practice will start on August 22nd in the middle school gym at 4:00 p.m. This is not mandatory. Go Badgers!

Last week a few google forms were sent out for high school registration. It was sent to your email and your high schooler's email. If you do not have it, please email Molly Smith at molly.smith@npowdersd.org and she will send it to you. Registration for seniors is this morning and juniors are this afternoon. Sophomores are tomorrow morning and freshmen tomorrow afternoon. They will meet Mrs. Bingham in her classroom.

Badger Athletics! Boys athletic programs at Powder Valley is having a steak feed at the school August 27th. All male athletes are selling tickets with a maximum of 400. Cost: $30 8 oz New York Strip steak from Bingham Beef Green Salad Roll Baked potato This event is being catered by Mine City Catering. If you want tickets please email brad.dunten@npowdersd.org or contact the football program. Go Badgers!

As we are gearing up for the school year, if your child will have a Physical Education class, please make sure they have PE shoes for indoor PE. These shoes do not need to be new shoes, but shoes that are clean tennis shoes. If your child does not have tennis shoes for PE, please let Mrs. Smith know. We are looking forward to the year! We are looking for a person to water a couple of hours in the morning and a couple of hours in the evening. If you are interested, or have questions, please get a hold of Mr. Dixon.

North Powder School District is hiring an elementary secretary, para pro and national school lunch program coordinator. This is a one FTE combined position. If you were interested please contract Mr. Dixon. Thank you.

This is a reminder that we will be celebrating three of our amazing staff members: Sandy Colton, Blake Jones, and Nancy Simonis, on Monday, June 13th at 5:30 at the North Powder Fire Hall. Please join us for dinner and a great celebration for all they have given our school.

Thank you to all our students, parents, families, teachers and staff for a great school year! Despite the challenges, you have made it a successful year of learning and thriving in our district. Have a wonderful summer!

We start summer school on Monday, June 13th. We will have bussing to the outlying areas, as well as Baker. If you are interested in your child attending summer school, please reach out to your child's teacher or Mrs. Dixon before this Thursday.

We apologize for the late notice, but we thought this was sent out. Tomorrow we will have our middle school awards and recognize our 8th graders. We will meet in the middle school gym at 6:00 p.m. for an award's ceremony, and then there will be a middle school dance in the MPR following. This is for 6th - 8th graders and their families.

Wednesday, June 8th is our last day of school. Please join us in the Color Run, which will start around 10:45 a.m. We will follow the run with a picnic on the elementary field. Buses will leave campus at 12:15 p.m., as this is a half-day of school. We hope you can join us in the fun celebration!

As we have done the last few years, the seniors will walk-through our hallways one last time in their graduation attire. Please join us on Thursday, June 2nd at 2:45. They will start in the new school and walk the hallways and out by the library. From there, they will cross the street and go into the elementary by the music room and walk down the elementary hallway and out the door by the fifth grade. We hope to see you at our class of 2022's final walkthrough.
