Every Day Matters! Students with regular school attendance are more likely to succeed in school and beyond. Coming to school regularly also helps students connect with their peers and teachers. If you or a child you know needs help getting to school, talk to your school administration.

In the morning if you are dropping off your child in the elementary, please drop them off on "G" Street. The end door will be open for students to enter. If you are taking your child to the middle/high school building, you may drive around through campus and drop them off at the front door of that school. For pick-up after school, please park in a single file row on "G" Street in the same area. Staff will bring students out and make eye contact with you before sending students. If you are walking with your child, you may wait on the sidewalk on "G" Street as well. If families are riding bikes, etc., we ask that families walk the bikes until off of campus. We are trying to make our campus as safe as possible. Please avoid making U-turns on campus. If you drive on campus, please drive the full loop. We appreciate your cooperation in this matter.

We received this nice letter from Jamie, a teacher and Athletic Director in Crane. We donated funds from the pink games to her to help her with her fight. Thank you Badger Nation! We love our community for reasons like this. Dear Powder Valley Staff, Students, and Community, I wish the words "THANK YOU" were enough to express my gratitude for your very generous donation from your Pink Game Benefit. To even think of me in the first place was enough, but to raise that much money for a non-community member is pretty admirable. I've said all along that there's no better place to be from than Eastern Oregon! Please know how much our family appreciates the outpouring from your entire community throughout this journey I'm on. I wish I could personally thank each of you individually, and I will do my best...but please accept this as a genuine appreciation for your kindness. EASTERN OREGON STRONG! Love, Jamie Siegner

Our first day of school is right around the corner and we are starting it off a little bit differently this year. If students want to walk or ride their bikes from the old fire hall, we will have adults along that path. Families - we want you to join in the fun for the first few hours of the day. Classrooms will be open from 8:00 a.m. - 8:30 a.m. All students please stop by the respective office to receive a punch card and pay your fees if you haven't already. Elementary families - please feel free to join your child in their classroom for Open House. At 8:30, staff will take students outdoors to the elementary playground. There will be booths around the perimeter of the playground, as well as a few games. At 9:00, middle and high school students will join staff on the football field for more games, while the elementary students and families continue to check out the booths. At 10:00 a.m., students will head into the building to start our school day, and families can head on out knowing your children are in great hands. We look forward to seeing you. Please stop by the photo booth at each building for pictures. We are so excited for our first day of school and look forward to working with you and your student this year!
