After what occurred around Eastern Oregon this past weekend, we thought it was important to share some information with our community. House Bill 3409 was passed in 2019. The House Bill focuses on interscholastic events. Not only does this House Bill focus on athletes and coaches, but spectators at interscholastic events also play a role in this. In part, the House Bill has asked that school districts implement policies that address the use of derogatory or inappropriate names, insults, verbal assaults, profanity or ridicule that occurs at an interscholastic activity. We, as an administrative team, with support of our school board, are trying to create an environment that we are proud of in Badger Nation. We hope that athletes, coaches, and spectators can create an environment that is positive and inviting to all involved.

North Powder School District thanks our School Board!
January is School Board Recognition Month. We appreciate the time and dedication our board members provide to our school district.
